HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
DOTE started as a simple dream between a mother and son who were not even coffee drinkers.
After months of brainstorming, Liezel and Jonas decided to build a coffee shop together, turning curiosity into something meaningful.

With no coffee background, they learned everything from scratch through workshops, barista training, and roasting sessions.

First things first, DOTE is pronounced like "antidote", not "dow-teh."​

The tagline "AN ANTIDOTE FOR GOOD VIBES" came from the belief that coffee has been one of the simplest ways for people to feel a little better. For many, it's part of how they start the day. Other times, it's something they turn to for comfort, a quick reset, or a small moment of happiness in between everything else.

In such a fast-paced and serious world, people often forget to slow down and rest. DOTE wants to be a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and enjoy the moment. Through something as simple as sitting down with a cup of coffee, DOTE hopes to share comfort, connection, and good vibes with everyone who walks in.
